What are the main parts of the body that will be firmed up?
With Kangoo Jumps, every cell in your body gets a complete workout. Which means that at every rebound, every muscle in your body is toned up simultaneously. NASA quotes “Bounce training is the most effective form of exercise ever invented by humans”.
Why is the practice of Kangoo Jumps so effective for weight loss?
Scientifically proven, you will spend about 20% more calories during a Kangoo Jumps workout compared to a similar workout done with conventional shoes. However, this alone does not explain the weight loss reported by many people practicing Kangoo Jumps.
The secret is also in the stimulation of the lymphatic system: the lymph is the liquid that circulates between our cells, to transport waste and toxins out of our body, keeping it healthy. Did you know that our body contains five times more lymphatic fluid than blood?
However, the lymphatic system, which is also the immune system, does not have a pump like the heart to keep its fluid moving. The natural movements of the body ensure the circulation of the lymph. If you do not move enough, excessive levels of toxins will clog or poison your lymphatic system. In excess, toxins will force the lymphatic fluid to crystallize in cellulite. You know how much cellulite is difficult to eliminate, so it’s better to prevent! The Kangoo Jumps rebound exercises are very effective in stimulating and assisting the lymphatic pump system.
The lymphatic system also acts on your basal metabolism. Over the years, the accumulated weight becomes more and more difficult to lose. Studies have shown that the basic metabolic rate, which is the body’s ability to burn calories, decreases as the lymphatic system becomes less effective. With the regular practice of Kangoo Jumps, the lymphatic system is stimulated and the metabolism improves, promoting the increased transfer of nutrients and oxygen and the elimination of toxins from the body. The basal metabolic rate is becoming more and more effective, resulting in significant improvements in muscle tone and weight management. Once the basal metabolism accelerates, you will burn more calories, even at rest!
Accessibility: for all? Big and small? Overweight? Sedentary? Afraid of losing balance? Difficult? Joint problems? Safe?
Is the practice of Kangoo Jumps recommended for everyone?
Young and old, 6 years and older. Your weight is between 45 and 300 lbs and you are allowed to practice physical activity, the Kangoo Jumps is for you.
Do I have to worry about losing balance? Is it safe?
Losing the balance is usually the FEAR of the participants, but you get used to it in a very short time. Even if the boots force us to move constantly to keep the balance, we quickly gain confidence in our means. You even catch yourself running and jumping after just a few minutes.
You will quickly be convinced of the safety aspect of this product. Because of their design, the large shells ensure your stability. In addition, the strong, non-slip soles provide excellent ground adhesion. To make your boots more stable and to find your center of gravity, keep your feet a little wider than the hips. Time is allowed to walk / jog at the beginning of each class and allow new participants to be comfortable on boots before starting the workout. Do not let fear stop you, make the jump with us.
Special CONDITIONS: Orthotics? Overweight? Pregnant women? Fragile bladder? Joint problems (hip knees)? What do the doctors say?
Is it possible to insert orthotics?
By their wide-end and rounded design the Kangoo Jumps boots make it easy to accommodate all types of orthotics. It is recommended to remove the original black sole of the liner (felt) and replace it with your orthosis so you will gain a little more space.
I am overweight and sedentar. Is the Kangoo Jumps accessible to meI
Yes of course, the Kangoo Jumps is for YOU!
Excess weight puts extra stress on the joints that support the body, especially the hips and knees. Kangoo Jumps training is an alternative which is offered to you to lighten the stress seen by your joints. The IPS impact protection system (mini-trampoline under the boot) helps counteract the effect of overweight on your joint structures. The excessive pressure exerted by the overweight is absorbed during the compression of the boots, freeing your joints from this important stress. Do exercise in pleasure and do it intensely while feeling light.
Sedentary and overweight people who want to start a fitness program in Kangoo Jumps should start with short 10-minute sessions, twice a day. Progressively, the sessions can be lengthened to total 30 minutes of cardiovascular exercises per day. Regular use of your Kangoo Jumps will increase the efficiency of your metabolism, which will lead to a noticeable improvement in your muscle tone, better weight management and a greater sense of well-being. You will see a significant increase in your cardiovascular and muscular endurance. Throughout the sessions, you will be able to exercise for longer. As always, it’s important to remember that before a new fitness program, you should first consult your doctor.
I am pregnant, can I practice the Kangoo Jumps?
Training on Kangoo Jumps boots is not recommended for pregnant women.
Can I practice Kangoo Jumps with a fragile bladder?
The stress urinary incontinence causes leaks during exercise, as rebounding on Kangoo Jumps boots. This action increases the pressure in your abdomen, releasing small amounts of urine.
Urinary losses occur when performing jumps at 2 feet. Many movements in Kangoo Jumps rely on the performance of 1-foot jump very well supported by the bladder. The review of the options for adapting jumps to 2 feet to your particular condition is made at the beginning of each session of Kangoo Jumps. It is important to know that there are solutions to allow you to enjoy all the benefits that come from the regular practice of Kangoo Jumps while limiting small inconvenience.
We also advise you to empty your bladder within a few minutes before the lesson and wear an incontinence liner.
I have problems with my knees and hips. I feel pain during the practice of jogging. Would jogging on Kangoo Jumps boots be helpful?
Many people struggling with knee or hip pain have found the solution in the Kangoo Jumps. With reduced impacts of more than 80%, your joints will be protected throughout your training sessions. To be convinced, just try it. We invite you to join us in a group class. It is also possible to try with the trainer for an individual coaching meeting your needs.
Small discomfort during sessions
During the session I'm out of breath is this normal?
Since practicing Kangoo Jumps is so fun and euphoric, be careful not to over-train and not exceed your heartbeat limit. When the need for oxygen rises, the heart rate follows and vice versa. Your heart rate (HR) should remain between 64% and 94% of your maximum heart rate.
A beginner should not train in high intensity zones (94% of the CF). Training at this level can not last very long, so you will need to slow down to continue.
The best method for measuring intensity is the “talk test”. If you have difficulty speaking comfortably during training, it shows a debt of oxygen. You must then reduce the intensity.
When starting Kangoo Jumps training, it is normal to interrupt the one-hour session with several walking recovery periods. Over the weeks, the need to slow down will be less and less required.
When you exercise, you should feel short of breath, but not be out of breath.
My feet sweat a lot. What do you suggest?
It is difficult to keep your feet dry while exercising with Kangoo Jumps boots no matter the sock’s fibers and materials is. Between classes, allow the liner of your boots to dry. To accelerate drying and reduce the risk of corrosion of the bolts and anchoring system from the top shell, it is advisable to completely remove the liner of the boot.
Between classes of Kangoo Jumps, use a disinfectant and antibacterial spray. In addition to destroying viruses and bacteria, it deodorizes by destroying the microbes responsible for bad odors. Spray 2 jets to the toes and 2 jets to the heels.
There is no problem, apart from discomfort, in having wet feet. However, if your boots are too big, friction combined with moisture will give you blisters.
Is it normal to feel discomfort in the shoulders, in the lower back and in the feet during the first sessions of Kangoo Jumps?
Although very few people feel this type of discomfort during the first sessions, know that this is due to the correction of posture that occurs on the boots. Training on Kangoo Jumps has the virtue of naturally realigning the body and correcting imbalances in your posture. This discomfort is only temporary and will eventually disappear over regular workouts. However, it is important to remember to start with short 10-minute sessions and increase the time of the sessions gradually towards a complete 30-minute cardiovascular workout.
During the class of Kangoo Jumps, I have internal malleolus pain.
Occasionally, some people experience internal malleolus pain during the first few classes of Kangoo Jumps. These pains are not worrying if they eventually fade or disappear after a few classes. The body adjusts slowly and we must give it the chance to adapt. On average, there are 6,000 to 9,000 rebounds per hour during Kangoo Jumps training. These rebounds naturally help correct alignment, pronation, supination, and other posture problems, which can cause mild discomfort at first. Your body will eventually get used to that.
If the pain persists, contact us because we offer certain products (alignment sole) that will maintain the optimal posture of the body and thus, will limit foot injuries.
During the class of Kangoo jumps I have pains in the plantar arch.
Occasionally, some people experience plantar arch pain during the first few classes of Kangoo Jumps. These pains are not worrying if they eventually fade or disappear after a few classes. The body adjusts slowly and you have to give it the chance to adapt and the small muscles under the foot to develop.
During the class it happens that I have a side stitch. What should I do?
Some people complain about a side stitch when they exercise. It is often caused by digestion. Since digestion is important, it takes precedence over other body functions. It is advisable to press where it hurts to make it disappear and to limit the exercises after its appearance. It will disappear in a few minutes and you can continue the exercise.
TO KNOW BEFORE YOUR FISRT TRY
What kind of socks do you recommend?
Wear comfortable socks preferably thick. To protect the skin from the friction caused by the boot, opt for mid-calf length socks. If necessary, for a better fit and optimum comfort, wear 2 pairs of socks.
What should I know for a perfect fit and optimum comfort?
1 -You should put Kangoo Jumps boots in a seated position to ensure excellent balance control when adjusting and tightening.
2 -Before inserting the foot into the boot, make sure that the straps are completely removed from the buckles. To do this, push and hold the graybutton while pulling the strap completely out. The Power Shoes children’s boots as well as the adult boots of size XS and S have 2 buckles. Adult boots of sizes M, L and XL have 3 buckles.
3- When you insert your foot, make sure that the liner is in place and that this action does not cause additional lining folds.
4 -When your foot is in place, you can secure the buckles by placing the strap in the metal rails of the gray buttons.
5 -Be sure to completely fold down the buckles.. You should HEAR a “click”. Use your palm instead of your fingers to consolidate this step. If you do not get the “click”, it means that the strap is too tight. A safety device integrated in the mechanism prevents the buckles to be completely fold down if the tightening is too important. Slightly release the strap and try again.
Other small general recommendations:
– Your toes should touch the fabric liner. (also call inner boot) If the toes are a little cramped at first, the lining will fit your foot with the classes.
– Take care not to over tighten the stras! Kangoo Jumps boots are designed to provide optimal support for the ankle. Your foot does not need to be very tight in the boot. Your toes should be able to move. On the other hand, an excessively soft fit can be responsible for foot injuries. Indeed, in this case, the friction caused by the wide movement of the foot in the boot coupled with moisture will cause the appearance of blisters.
– If your feet seem too tight, you can remove the black sole included in the liner.
What is the recommended posture on Kangoo Jumps boots?
– Feet parallel to the width of the hips
– Keep the weight in the middle of the boot
– Knees slightly bent
– Neutral basin
– Engaging Abdominals
– Rib cage up
– Shoulders relaxed and externally rotated backwards
– Head straight and neck extended
Pay special attention not to carry the weight to the toes or to the heels. The T-Spring elastic at the center of the shells of the Kangoo Jumps boot should always remain parallel to the ground.
Also be careful to perform jumps in a controlled manner.
I just got my Kangoo Jumps boots and the compression seems very difficult, is it normal?
At their first use, the boots will be very rigid. A break-in period is required. The first 15 to 30 minutes of use will help soften the elasticity of the IPS (Impact Protection System). To speed up the break-in period, jump on ONE FOOT for 20 jumps and then repeat on your other foot. Then continue with a jog by transferring weight from one foot to the other. Start with a slow jog and increase the intensity when you are ready. Make sure you always place your weight in the center of the boots and not on your toes or heels.
In bouncing, the energy you put is the energy you will get back. So, do not hesitate to push in the ground!
How do I know if I can cut the central elastic band of the T-Spring ?
During the first classes of Kangoo Jumps, some people find it harder to compress the IPS system. Indeed, it takes a little practice before mastering the technique of rebound / compression. So, do not get discouraged and keep practicing. The first step is the compression followed by the extension of the body to finish with the landing which becomes the first step of the next jump. For example, to perform alternating high knees, raise the right knee by jumping on the left foot. To properly compress the left boot to the ground, transfer your weight to the left. Then add a jump on both feet. Continue by lifting the left knee while compressing the right boot to the ground. Finish with a jump to two feet. When you master this technique, it bounces with much less effort, which makes you feel lighter. The energy will be returned by the compression system for your enjoyment.
After several classes, if compression still seems difficult and your weight is under 120 lbs, you can cut the center elastic band. Do not cut the center elastic band unless you have a weight between 100 and 120 lbs.
Refer to the video section of the web site for a demonstration of or to cut the center elastic band.
How do you get to the ground and get up from the ground?
To go to the ground:
Place the feet in the lunge position. Put the hand next to the knee behind. Bend the knee behind, making sure that the hand gently follows the descent of the knee and sits on the floor before it. When the knee touches the ground, you should observe a 90 degree angle at both knees.
To get up from the ground:
Start by kneeling on the floor. Slip one foot forward bending the knee up so that the sole of the boot is flat on the floor and the knee angle is 90 degrees. Keep the other leg bent with the knee on the ground. You can use a solid object (chair) that will support you to help you get up slowly. You can also put both hands on your bent knee and push on it to help you put the second foot flat on the ground. Then start walking. Keep your head up while looking forward.

How does a class take place?
Allow several muscles to be solicited at the same time, opt for a functional workout on Kangoo Jumps boots. Here is how does a class take place
Warm up: 5-7 minutes
Often forgetten in training, the warm-up is crucial because it aims to raise the body temperature, increase blood circulation, prepare the muscles and joints, prepare the cardiovascular system, prepare the psychological to the effort and review some movements that will be performed during the aerobic part.
Master Training: 45-50 minutes
30-35 minutes according to the type of classes offered (Kangoo Power, Kangoo Bootcamp, Kangoo Dance, Kangoo Kick Punch or Kangoo Discovery). The practice of Kangoo Jumps, regardless of the type of classes offered, allows significant and rapid improvement of muscle and cardiovascular endurance.
Cool down training: 10-15 minutes
Cool down allows to gradually come back to the resting heart rate by preventing vagal shocks, dizziness, due to a sudden stop. Cool down is followed by a small musculation period. The weight of the boots (2.5-3lb) helps to accentuate muscular work.
Stretching and relaxation: 5 minutes
Stretching of the muscles solicited during the class is proposed. For optimal stability, the boots are removed for this segment. The goal is to maintain the gains in terms of range of motion and flexibility, while reducing muscle tension and allowing the body and mind to relax.
What is advisable to eat before a class of Kangoo Jumps?
Avoid full meal intake (500-800 kcal) 3 h before training. Because digestion is important, it takes precedence over other boddy functions. Some people complain about side stitch when they are exercising. It’s often caused by digestion. It is advisable to press where it hurts to make it disappear and to limit the exercises after its appearance. This should disappear in a few minutes after which you will be able to continue the exercise. Carbohydrate intake (less than 250 kcal) is recommended when the time between meals and physical activity is 1 to 2 H. For longer periods of 2 – 3 H, a sustained snack based on carbohydrates and protein (250-500 kcal) is recommended.
And don’t forget to start drinking water before the class! It is recommended to drink between 300 to 400 ml of water 15 to 30 minutes before the class.
Should we hydrate during training?
It is advisable to drink from 100 to 200 ml of water every 10 to 15 minutes.
What do you recommend after a Kangoo Jumps workout ?
Avoid activities with impacts 20 minutes after a session of Kangoo Jumps. Give the muscles time to be submitted to gravity again. This explains the feeling of heaviness felt after removing the boots.
Keep your body hydrated! Drink a lot of water.
Adopt healthy lifestyles between classes of Kangoo Jumps and maximize your results.

What explains the price of some models?
Kangoo Jumps has put on the market special color editions. Special Editions are recognized by the denomination SE which follows the name of the model. The special editions are distinguished from the basic models only by their variety of colors, the basic design remains the same. Special editions are more expensive to buy. As for them, PRO boots (200 lb. and up) are designed to be stronger and more robust, which explains their higher purchase price.
I weight more than 200 lb but I'm in weight loss process what type of boots do you recommend?
If your weight is over 200 lbs and the boot size required is XS, S or M, we recommend the Kangoo Jumps PRO Boot which comes with heavy-duty shells and T-Spring PRO elastics. Regular Kangoo Jumps Boots XS, S and M come with “light” resistance shells not recommended for weights over 200 lbs.
If your weight is more than 200 lbs and the size of boots required is L or XL, we recommend the regular boot with replacement of the regular T-Spring elastic (3 small bands) buy a PRO elastic (2 large bands). Regular L and XL boots are designed with heavy-duty shells which explains why they can be used if your weight is over 200 lbs.
If you are in the process of losing weight, no matter which Kangoo Jumps boot you buy (regular XR3 or PRO model), it is possible to replace T-Spring PRO (2 large bands) elastics with regular T-Spring elastics ( 3 small bands) when the weight drops below 200 lbs. Since T-Spring elastics are consumables that need to be replaced regularly (60 to 80 hours of use), take advantage of the next maintenance to re-evaluate the type of T-Spring needed according to your weight.
If your weight is between 250 lbs and 300 lbs, adding a metal coil spring to the center of the T-Spring PRO elastic is required. This component, provided when you buy a pair of PRO model boots (or available as a piece in our online store), is not installed on the boot. We invite you to visit the video section of the site. It will be a pleasure to guide you step by step to help you when installing metal coil springs. A break-in period of one hour is required before going on with the installation of the coil spring.

MAINTENANCE
My buckle are hard to close, is it normal?
You have difficulty in completely closing the buckle in the completely closed position, use your palm instead of your fingers to consolidate this step. If you do not get the “click” it means that the strap is too tight. A safety device prevents the buckle from closing if it’s to tight. Slightly release the strap and try again. If this is still impossible, we recommend that you lubricate the buckle mechanism. Lift the buckle and rub the metal hook with a silicone-based oil. If a buckle breaks, it is possible to purchase. Please contact us at [email protected].
How to do the maintenance of Kangoo Jumps boots?
Kangoo Jumps bounce shoes last several years. However, they require regular maintenance to maintain a consistent and satisfactory level of performance. Remember that you compress IPS components more than 6,000 times per hour! That’s why you must make sure to follow the maintenance recommendations:
Elastics: This component is the one that requires the most attention. We recommend replacing your T-Springs after 60 to 80 hours of use, even if they can last longer. If you go beyond this period, the rebound effect will decrease. In addition, because the overused elastics absorb less tension, it will exert on the shells and could damage them and break them.
The more often you replace the T-Springs, the longer the life of the shells will be. We invite you to check out our tutorial video. You will learn how to evaluate wear and how to replace T-Springs step by step. Do not hesitate to contact us for maintenance.
Shells: They do not require any particular maintenance. If the T-Springs are not replaced after a maximum of 80 hours, the chances of damaging the shells increase. Even with the recommended maintenance, sometimes the shells break after a while.
We advise you to consult the video tutorial available on our site to guide you step by step when replacing shells.
Liner: At the change of seasons, deep cleaning of liners is recommended. These can be machine washed at 30 ° C. Let them air dry and avoid putting them in the dryer. Between classes of Kangoo Jumps, use a disinfectant and antibacterial spray. In addition to destroying viruses and bacteria, it deodorizes by destroying the microbes responsible for bad odors. Spray 2 jets to the toes and 2 jets to the heels.
It is recommended to remove liners from boots between workouts to allow them to dry. This will prevent the nuts and bolts of the anchoring system from rusting prematurely.
Soles: The soles are made of the best materials. They are anti-slip and anti-marking. Their lifespan is several years.
To replace the non-slip soles, simply use a size flat screwdriver and use it as a lever to remove the 2 strips from the lower shells.
We advise you to consult the video tutorial available on our site to guide you step by step when replacing soles.
Buckles: You have difficulty in completely closing the buckle in the completely closed position, use your palm instead of your fingers to consolidate this step.
Other recommendations:
After running on the beach, on a dirt trail or on the grass, be sure to disassemble your Kangoo Jumps rebound shoes and thoroughly clean the various components to remove residue, dust and salt that may be there. Do not forget to also lubricate the buckles and bolts using a silicone-based oil.
If you have worn your Kangoo Jumps bounce shoes outdoors and want to put them inside, check the condition of your soles and remove small rocks or dust to avoid damaging your floors.
How to recognize that it's time to replace the T-Spring elastics?
There are several points that deserve our attention and that will allow us to know when it’s time T-Spring elastics.
1- Validate the quality of the junction T-Spring/shell
2- There are circle or triangle codes on shells. When the circle or triangle of the shell begins to fade and hide under the elastic T-Spring, the replacement of it is advised.
3- The manufacturer’s recommendation is to replace T-Spring elastics every 60 to 80 hours of use.
How do I change the T-Spring elastic?

One of the shells break, why?
It is normal for shells to break after a certain period of time. The equipment has its limits. If however your shell has broken in the 3 month warranty period it is possible that this breakage is due to a problem that occurred during the injection molding process. If this is the case we will replace for free your broken shell. To prolong the life of your shell, it is very important to replace your T-Spring elastics regularly.
Are all the components of the boots available for replacement?

This will give you all the tips you need to use Kangoo Jumps boots, the correct execution of basic movements, the various options for modulating intensity, alternatives for better impact absorption and the recommended posture on Kangoo Jumps boots.
Can I practice the Kangoo Jumps in the snow?
It is not advisable to practice Kangoo Jumps on snowy surfaces, as these can be very slippery. Given the materials used in the boots and their resistance to temperature, it is not recommended to use boots below -5 C.
We recommend storing your boots in a warm place. This way, when you go out cold, they will compress in the usual way. The design materials heat up while being used, which will allow consistent compression throughout your workout.
Can I jump very high with the Kangoo Jumps?
Kangoo Jumps boots are not designed to jump high, but to absorb impacts. The height of your jumps will depend largely on the tension of your T-Spring and the energy you put in it. The greater the energy deployed during compression, the more you will get back. So, do not hesitate to push in the ground!
Are there any movements not recommended in Kangoo Jumps?
Several movements are not recommended in Kangoo Jumps:
– 360 degree jump
– Kick higher than the waist
– Hyperextension movement of the arms and legs
– Any movement that goes against a good posture
– Acrobatic movements
Some movements must be performed with care:
– Squats:
Be sure to master the balance on boots before training to do squats. Going down, push the buttocks far behind. The knees must not extend beyond the toes and the head must remain in the extension of the spine. When going up, push in the boots, avoid hyperextension of the knees and retroversion of the pelvis.
When performing squats, be sure to keep the weight in the center of the boots.
– Jumps at 2 feet for an extended period:
Some participants experience lower back pain by jumping 2 feet at a time. For each type of 2-foot jump, know that there is an option without jump. Choose the “no jump” option taught by the trainer at the beginning of each Kangoo Jumps class.
What do you think about the quality of design and manufacture of Kangoo Jumps boots?
Authenticated Kangoo Jumps products are made from the best materials available on the market. The boot is made of polyurethane, a plastic of very high quality. Kangoo Jumps boots have been on the market for several years now and have been subjected to very severe resistance tests:
– They are used by marathon runners who run at least 10 km a day for months.
– They are used in fitness clubs up to 3 hours a day.
Over the years, weak points have been identified and improved by Kangoo Jumps. Like any other quality product, continuous improvement is a priority at Kangoo Jumps.
